The Origination of Yoga
Yoga originated in ancient India(5000 years back) as a disciplines of physical, mental and spiritual. Its called a product of Hinduism as its first found in Veda & Upanishads that belongs to hindu religion. But it’s widely acclaimed now as a spiritual & physical practice and not limited to any religion. The word yoga derived from the Sanskrit word yuj, which means ‘to join’ or ‘to unite’. It helps unite the individual consciousness with universal consciousness that brings a perfect harmony between the mind and the body and man and nature.

MEDITATION
Meditation, a thoughtful practice that focuses one’s mind on a particular thing or condition for a period of time. This generally done in a quite place and/or with the help of chanting or simple focusing with mind in a closed eye. Its done for a number of reasons – religious or spiritual purposes to just finding peace and happiness in life.
In our modern era, meditation has been widely acclaimed as a way to manage stress one gained from his day-to-day life. It has also been scientifically proved that meditation is a great way in fighting chronic illnesses, including depression, heart disease, and chronic pain.
Being an ancient practice it has many forms depending on what you want to achieve. Here is a list of seven different types of meditation focused at different goals:
1.Mindfullness Meditation – Being fully aware of your present thoughts. What is happening around you now, and not becoming very reactive.
2. Transcendental Meditation – Repeating a mantra or personal word to achieve a state of relaxation & peace.
3. Guided Meditation – This is generally guided through a teacher who help you draw a mental picture through visualizing a state of mind and situation that’s relaxing for you.
4. Vipasana Meditation – To see things as they really are. Self tranformation through self observation.
5. Loving Kindness Meditation(Meeta Meditation) – Directing well wishes toward others and achieving happiness & peace within.
6. Chakra Meditation – Refer as the centre of energy. Focuses on bringing balance to any of the seven chakras in the body.
7. Yoga Meditation – Performed with flexible yoga postures & controlled breathing exercises to promote flexibility & calm in mind.
